He performed his neurosurgical residency at the Hadassah University Hospital in Jerusalem. Dr. Ashkenazi also completed a two-year spine surgery fellowship at Montefiore Hospital in New York. Prior to co-founding the Israel Spine Center, he served as a senior surgeon in the department of neurosurgery at the Hadassah University Hospital in Jerusalem.
